Our program has some similarities to Montessori (and other progressive educational philosophies) and some differences. Like Montessori, we offer children a range of activities and allow them to choose the thing that is most interesting to them at any moment. However, our activities are not designed to produce a specific developmental or academic achievement, but rather to lead to a meaningful product that the child cares about. We believe that learning and growth will occur naturally within the context of our activities, without requiring adults to try to direct the child toward specific outcomes.
