When registering, parents are asked if their children have any allergies or medical conditions. This information is saved in our database and will also be printed on the badge that all children wear when they are at camp. If a staff member ever observes a child exhibiting unusual symptoms, they are trained to look in one of these two places to identify the cause. This helps us to act quickly. All of our staff members are First Aid and CPR certified.
For campers with severe allergies, please bring an epi-pen with you to camp. Should it be needed it can be administered by a year-round team member or the staff member in charge of First Aid. Some parents whose children are severely allergic choose to bring their own lunch, which we are happy to keep in camp headquarters.
